PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surge absorber that is manufacturable at a low cost and ensures high joining reliability, is less dependent on a conductor in an external environment, and compactly suppresses a dynamic current.SOLUTION: The surge absorber includes: a cylindrical metallic inner stem member 2A; a single lead wire 4 sealed with sealing glass 3 in an insulated manner and held hermetic in a penetrating state in the inner stem member; a metallic inner cap electrode 5A fixed on the inner stem member to hermetically seal in a tip end side of the lead wire; an internal electrode part 6 fixed to the lead wire in the inner cap electrode with a discharge space to the inner cap electrode and having a larger outside diameter than the lead wire; a cylindrical metallic outer stem member 2B fixed outside of the inner stem member via sealing glass; and a metallic outer cap electrode 5B fixed on the outer stem member to cover the inner cap electrode with a discharge space to the inner cap electrode. |
