PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a diagnostic device of a driving motor for an electric automobile capable of detecting failure of a motor coil in either case of driving of a vehicle or non-driving of the vehicle, and can early cope with the failure of the motor.SOLUTION: A diagnostic device of a motor, which is the diagnostic device of a motor 6 for an electric automobile having wheels 2 driven by the motor 6, comprises startup-time failure detection means 98 that detects, when the vehicle is powered on but not being driven, coil temperature of a motor coil and coil resistance or insulation resistance of the motor coil, and detects failure of the motor coil, when the coil temperature exceeds a threshold, or when the coil resistance or the insulation resistance exceeds a threshold. |
