PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine control system capable of performing deceleration process more favorably at the time of accelerator sensor anomaly.SOLUTION: An ECU 30 of an engine control system which controls output torque of a vehicle engine according to an accelerator signal, outputted from an accelerator sensor for detecting control input of an accelerator pedal, includes: anomaly determination means for determining whether anomaly of accelerator sensor exists or not; torque decreasing rate setting means for setting an engine output torque decreasing rate based on vehicle running state when anomaly of an accelerator sensor is determined; and deceleration control means for decreasing engine output torque at a set decreasing rate when anomaly of an accelerator sensor is determined. |
