a lead-in section; at least one bird section; at least one data acquisition module; at least one vibration module, which includes at least one transducer, configured to emit ultrasonic waves based on received control signals, wherein the ultrasonic waves are within a frequency range which removes or retards growth of marine organisms on at least a portion of a marine seismic streamer; and a source of power configured to power the at least one vibration module, wherein the lead-in section, the at least one bird section, the at least one data acquisition module and the at least one ultrasound module are connected together to form the marine seismic streamer. |
