<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device that can adjust relative positions of a hemispherical lens and an element while a terahertz wave is observed, and generates or detects the terahertz wave.SOLUTION: A device includes: an element which generates or detects a terahertz wave; a hemispherical lens 104 which guides the terahertz wave emitted by the element or the terahertz wave made incident on the element; and a holder 101 which holds the hemispherical lens and element in a state in which a plane 112 of the hemispherical lens and the element are in contact with each other or in a state in which a substance transmitting the terahertz wave is sandwiched between the plane of the hemispherical lens and the element and the plane of the hemispherical lens and the element are in contact with the substance. The holder has an elastic deformation part 102 and a position adjustment part 103 which adjusts relative positions of the hemispherical lens and element in a direction parallel with the plane of the hemispherical lens by elastically deforming the elastic deformation part.</p> |
