PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light-emitting device which uses laser light as excitation light and emits light by converting a wavelength with a phosphor, which can reduce speckle noise that gives an unnatural dazzling sense to the sight in the case where a rough surface is irradiated with light, and which can give high-quality irradiation light of satisfactory speckle contrast.SOLUTION: The light-emitting device comprises an excitation light source which emits laser light as excitation light, and a phosphor which is excited by the excitation light and emits light by converting a wavelength of the excitation light. The phosphor is a polycrystal secondary particle formed from a plurality of primary particles, and the secondary particle includes a void of which the diameter is 0.2 μm or more. |
