Augmented Reality Technology

A method is disclosed for determining the user's position by analyzing a picture of buildings located in front of the user and comparing the picture content with a database that stores a 3D model of the buildings. The method is utilized in various indoors and outdoors augmented reality applications. For example, the method gives the user accurate directional instructions to move from a place to another. It enables the user to accurately tag parts of buildings or places with virtual digital data. Also, the method allows the user to augment parts of buildings or places with certain Internet content in a fast and simple manner.
