<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a high speed tool feed (a feed), and to also achieve fragmentation of cutting chips, by supplying a high pressure coolant to a part where a cutting tool comes in contact with a work-piece, reducing heat of a tool edge and remarkably reducing tool wear, in a turret type lathe.SOLUTION: A piston 20 is installed so as to be protruded-retreated in a piston holder 21 installed in a tool post body 2, and the coolant is supplied to a tool side by joining the piston 20 to an inflow port 7 of the coolant provided to the turret back face side. A positional relationship between an inflow port 24 of the piston holder and the piston 20 is set so that pressure of the coolant supplied in the piston holder 21 from the tool post body side, acts on the rear end surface 20A side of the piston. Thus, the piston 20 is strongly pressed to the inflow port 7 by supply pressure of the coolant, and high sealability is secured.</p> |
