PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio communications system capable of smoothly and swiftly performing data processing for transmitting/receiving via a repeater between a master unit and a slave unit free from any problem even when communication status gets poor. ! SOLUTION: A master unit transmits packets to a slave unit in a numerical order. When receiving the packets in the numerical order, the slave unit sets numbers of packets to be received next as reception-wait numbers. The master unit determines the update state of the reception-wait numbers at predetermined timing, and based on the determination result, transmits a response signal to request retransmission of the packets to the slave unit.
