<p>A backlight module and a display apparatus. The backlight module comprises a light guide plate (1) and multiple point light sources (3). The light guide plate (1) comprises a light incidence surface (13), a light emergence surface (14), a lower surface (15) opposite to the light emergence surface (14), and two side surfaces perpendicular to the light emergence surface (14) and the light incidence surface (13). The multiple point light sources (3) are disposed opposite to the light incidence surface (13) of the light guide plate (1). The backlight module also comprises an auxiliary lighting unit (4) used for emitting light to the edge portion close to the light incidence surface (13), of the light guide plate (1). The auxiliary lighting unit (4) is disposed opposite to at least one side surface (12) of the light guide plate (1). The backlight module and the display apparatus can improve the brightness of a dark region of the light guide plate (1), and make the brightness of the emergent light more uniform.</p> |
