<p>The invention refers to an optical line termination node (13) for a passive optical network (11), said node (13) comprising a first connection arrangement (47) for connecting a working fibre (23) to the node (13); a second connection arrangement (61) for connecting a protection fibre (25) to the node (13); a transceiver arrangement (45) having first primary link (T1) and a first secondary link (T2); and protection switching means (37) configured for being switched either in a working operating state or in a protection operating state, in said working state the first connection arrangement (47) being coupled with the first primary link (T1) and in said protection state the second connection arrangement (61) being coupled with the first secondary link (T2). In order to implement an inexpensive an reliable node (13), it is suggested that said node (13) comprise first coupling means (43) being arranged for forwarding seeding light to the transceiver arrangement (45) via the first primary link (T1) and second coupling means (59) being arranged for forwarding the seeding light to the transceiver arrangement (45) via the second primary link (T2).</p> |
