摘要 <p>Disclosed are low-tack, hydrophobic, high refractive index, acrylic materials. These materials, especially useful as intraocular lens materials, contain 30-60% (w/w) of one or more aryl acrylic hydrophobic monomers of a compound of formula (I) as principal device-forming monomers, 0.1-3.9% (w/w) of a tack-reducing macromer additive of a dimethylacryloxypropyl-terminated polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) compound of formula (II), 10-40% (w/w) of 2-ethylhexyl arcrylate or n-octyl acrylate, 5-30% (w/w) of a hydrophobic additive to reduce glistening, a cross linking component, and a reactive UV and/or blue-light absorber. In addition to their use as intraocular lens materials, the present materials are also suitable for use in other implantable ophthalmic devices. Examples of a compound of formula (I) are: Benzyl acrylate, 2-phenylethyl acrylate, 2-phenoxyethyl acrylate, 4-phenylbutyl acrylate; 5-phenylpentyl acrylate, 2-benzyloxyethyl acrylate, 3-benzyloxypropyl acrylate; 3-phenylpropyl acrylate, 3-phenoxypropyl acrylate; 2-(phenylthio)propyl acrylate, and 2-(phenylthio)ethyl acrylate. Examples of a hydrophobic glistening-reducing additive are: Hydroxy(C2-C4 alkyl)methacrylates, glycerol methacrylate, and N-vinyl pyrrolidone (NVP). Examples of a suitable cross linking reagent are: Ethylene glycol dimethacrylate, diethylene glycol dimethacrylate, allyl methacrylate, 1,3-propanediol dimethacrylate, 2,3-propanediol dimethacrylate, 1,6-hexanediol dimethacrylate, 1,4-butanediol dimethacrylate, and triethylene glycol dimethacrylate (TEGDMA). Examples of a reactive UV and/or blue-light absorber are: 2-(2’-hydroxy-3’-methallyl-5’-methylphenyl)benzotriazole, 3-(2H-benzo[d][1,2,3]triazol-2-yl)-4-hydroxyphenylethyl methacrylate, N-2-[3-(2’-methylphenylazo)-4-hydroxyphenyl]ethyl methacrylamide.</p>
