Provided are a secondary battery which can achieve high output and high capacity, and an electrode for a secondary battery. The secondary battery comprises a cathode and an anode. The anode includes an interlayer material (21) having the distance between layers of 10-500 nm, and an interlayer particles (22,23) having diameter of less than 1 μm and located between layers of the interlayer material.
