<p>The invention consists of an apparatus for the automated analysis of the microbiological quality of water, using colorimetric analysis. The apparatus of the invention performs the following functions autonomously: sample taking, sample preparation, culture, result reading and remote data transmission. For this purpose, it is based on colorimetric techniques for counting coliforms in water samples using the most probable number method. The apparatus comprises a mechanical part used to manage and handle all of the elements, culture the sample and take images; a hydraulic part used to manage the liquids involved in the process; and a data transmission device.</p> |
