摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact, highly reliable, maintenance-free power supply and a method of control thereof which can reduce the number of capacitors in a smoothing circuit of a switching power supply. SOLUTION: The digitally controlled power supply apparatus includes: a switching power supply section 2 having a smoothing circuit including an inductor 6 and capacitors 7; a digital control section 9 for controlling the switching of the switching power supply section 2; a database 13 for determining a capacitance value of the capacitors 7 in an operating environment; ADCs 12-1, 12-2; and a temperature sensor 14. The digital control section 9 comprises a processor, and includes a control computing element 11 for inputting a signal obtained by digitally converting an output voltage of the switching power supply section 2 by the analog-digital converter 12-1 to generate an error signal relative to a set value, and a PWM circuit 10 for generating a pulse width modulation signal from the output of the control computing element 11 and supplying it to the switching power supply section 2. The control computing element 11 recalculates a gain setting and a setting of a digital compensator for phase compensation according to the capacitance value of the capacitors 7.
