CLASSIFICATION-BASED VIRTUAL NETWORK MAPPING METHOD AND SYSTEM

A classification-based virtual network mapping method and system are provided. The method comprises: classifying, in accordance with network topology information of various areas, virtual nodes in a virtual network request, then dividing, in accordance with classification results, said request into smaller virtual network subrequests, and assigning said virtual network subrequests to various local managers for parallel mapping processing; upon each local manager mapping the virtual network subrequests, using a resource balancing mechanism to perform balancing processing in respect of demand limits of each virtual network subrequest and in respect of available resources of the substrate/physical network of each area, and then coordinating and consolidating the mapping of virtual nodes and of virtual links; once all local managers complete mapping, a global manager consolidates the mapping results of all local managers and feeds back same to a user. Compared to the prior art, the present invention provides features such as a low degree of computational complexity, rapid mapping, and better load balancing on the substrate/physical network.
