A ready-to-use interior coating composition comprising an inorganic colloid, a binder, water as solvent or dispersion medium and optionally conventional auxiliaries and additives, where the inorganic colloid is selected from the group consisting of unfired sheet silicates comprising kaolinite, serpentine, montmorillonite and mica, for example muscovite, celadonite, annite, phlogopite, illite, glauconite, biotite and lepidolite, and combinations thereof and has a particle size d-50% in the range from 1 to 30 µm, preferably from 5 to 15 µm, and a relative permittivity of from 5 to 30 in the frequency range 1 MHz - 200 MHz, measured in bulk after conditioning at 25°C and 30% relative atmospheric humidity, and the mass ratio of inorganic colloid to binder on a dry basis is greater than 2.5:1, is described. The invention also relates to a finished interior coating produced using such a composition and also a tabular interior coating having the same composition. |
