Disclosed is an encoding apparatus comprising a low density parity check (LDPC) encoder performing LDPC encoding on the basis of a parity check matrix and generating an LDPC codeword composed of 16200 number of bits. The parity check matrix includes an information word submatrix and a parity submatrix. The information word submatrix is defined by a table including a plurality of row groups with 360 rows and indicating a position of value 1 present in every 360-th row.
