The kit comprises at least fixed angle connector 22 and two pairs of hingedly co-operative connectors 24. The connectors are suitable for connecting pairs of sheet material 20 together in order to eventually form an elongate beam with a polygonal cross section. The kit may comprise an appropriate number of connectors to form a quadrilateral, such as a trapezium, or a pentagon. The fixed angle connectors may be suitable for connecting sheet plates together orthogonally. Also claimed is a structural beam for use as a roofing eaves beam or ridge beam comprising at least three sheet members interconnected by the connectors, including hinged connectors. The connectors are preferably elongate and run along the entire length of the sheet members. The beam may define an interior hollow cavity incorporating a foam or honeycomb insulation. |
