PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric compressor configured to prevent a surge voltage from being superimposed. SOLUTION: The electric compressor 100 includes: a compression mechanism 3; an electric motor 4 in which a rotational speed is variably adjusted to drive the compression mechanism; a sealed container 5; a terminal 6 for electrically connecting the inside and outside of the sealed container; and an inverter 9 supplying a driving voltage to the electric motor. The compressor adjusts the rotational speed of the electric motor to adjust a capacity of fluid discharged from the compression mechanism.
