Bandages and dressings.-Surgical dressings in the form of bandages, compresses or pads are formed at the edges with projecting tabs 7 of adhesive tape which either passes through the bandage or is attached to the inside of the bandage. The adhesive side of the tape is covered by a readily detachable sheet 9, for example, of crinoline, which also forms a covering for the dressing. The dressing may be formed by a number of layers 2, 3, of gauze which enclose a body 6 of absorbent material. |
