Radio receiver and method for operation of the same

The radio receiver (11) has a programmable application specific or executed digital logic module (18) designed before a signal processor (15). The digital logic module has a function of a changeover switch (20), where a startup of the radio receiver is initiated by bridging of a receptor of the logic module. The startup is initiated by activating a configuration memory (22) for the logic module. An independent claim is also included for a method of operating a radio receiver.
