<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithium ion secondary battery which has high discharge capacity and provides high safety. <P>SOLUTION: The lithium ion secondary battery includes an electrolyte containing a nonaqueous solvent, a lithium salt, and a compound represented by the general formula (1), a positive electrode containing one or more kinds of materials selected from a group of materials serving as positive electrode active materials for occluding or releasing lithium ions, and a negative electrode containing one or more kinds of materials selected from a group consisting of materials serving as negative electrode active materials for occluding or releasing lithium ions and a metal lithium. In the formula (1), each Z independently denotes a sulfur atom or oxygen atom, each Ar independently denotes a substituted or nonsubstituted bivalent aromatic group having 5 to 30 nuclear atoms, R denotes a saturated or nonsaturated bivalent hydrocarbon group having 1 to 20 carbon atoms, m denotes a natural number of 4 to 12, and a p denotes a natural number of 0 or 1 to 4. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
