<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a negative electrode active material for lithium ion secondary battery capable of expressing superior charge and discharge cycle characteristics by relaxing an effect of volume change during charge and discharge. <P>SOLUTION: The negative electrode active material for lithium ion secondary battery comprising a material including at least silicon and oxygen in constituent elements includes scale-like powder with a thickness of 30-500 nm and a ratio of average major axis/thickness is 10-100, and wherein oxygen content is 5-38 wt.%. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
