PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display device in which an image display surface can be seen clearly by a viewer, and furthermore, an intensity required for a bonding layer can be maintained. SOLUTION: An image display device according to the present invention comprises: an image display panel 5; a protective panel 2 of a light transmission type which covers a front surface of the image display panel; a bonding layer 3 which comprises a photo-setting resin by making it hardened, and lies between the image display panel and the protective panel; and a mask belt 4 formed in a frame shape opposed to a peripheral part of an image display surface of the image display panel on a back surface of the protective panel.
