<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner having low wettability of the toner surface and excellent charging characteristics and environmental stability, and capable of giving an image with no contamination on the base, and to provide a developer using the toner, a container containing the toner, a process cartridge, an image forming apparatus and a method for producing the toner. <P>SOLUTION: The toner is obtained through steps of: coating core particles with resin fine particles, where the core particles contain a colorant and at least one of a binder resin and a binder resin precursor, and are produced by dissolving a core material in an organic solvent and dispersing the dissolved material in an aqueous medium; then removing the organic solvent; and adhering inorganic fine particles to the coated core particles. In a methanol wettability test of the toner under the conditions at a temperature of 20°C to 24°C and a humidity of 45% to 55% carried out by dispersing 20 mg of the toner in 30 mL of a methanol aqueous solution having 30 mass% methanol concentration, the transmittance of the methanol aqueous solution is least 40%. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
