PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing device that improves color reproducibility and image quality when using light colors. SOLUTION: A light color decision part 11 decides maximum light color amounts maxC<SB POS="POST">L</SB>and maxM<SB POS="POST">L</SB>, that are the maximum values of light colors C<SB POS="POST">L</SB>and M<SB POS="POST">L</SB>in a second color signal, from a given first color signal (L<SP POS="POST">*</SP>, a<SP POS="POST">*</SP>, b<SP POS="POST">*</SP>) within a predetermined range of color difference. Values of the light colors C<SB POS="POST">L</SB>and M<SB POS="POST">L</SB>are calculated according to the maximum light color amounts maxC<SB POS="POST">L</SB>and maxM<SB POS="POST">L</SB>and a UCR rate. A fundamental color decision part 12 calculates a value of a fundamental color C<SB POS="POST">D</SB>M<SB POS="POST">D</SB>Y(K) in the second color signal using the values of the light colors C<SB POS="POST">L</SB>and M<SB POS="POST">L</SB>calculated by the light color decision part 11 and the first color signal (L<SP POS="POST">*</SP>, a<SP POS="POST">*</SP>, b<SP POS="POST">*</SP>).
