<p>A power conversion device (1, 1A, 1B) according to embodiments includes a plurality of switch groups (19, 29, 39), a plurality of inductors (17, 27, 37, 18, 28, 38), and a snubber circuit (40, 40A). The switch groups (19, 29, 39) are respectively provided for input phases (R, S, and T phases) and each of the switch groups (19, 29, 39) has a plurality of one-way switches (11-16, 21-26, 31-36) that connects the corresponding input phase (R, S, and T phases) and output phases (U, V, and W phases). The plurality of inductors (17, 27, 37, 18, 28, 38) are respectively connected between the input phases (R, S, and T phases) and the switch groups (19, 29, 39), and are coupled to one another so that current flowing through the one-way switch (11-16, 21-26, 31-36) of one switch group moves to and continues to flow through the turned-on one-way switch (11-16, 21-26, 31-36) of the other switch group when the one-way switch (11-16, 21-26, 31-36) of the one switch group is turned off. The snubber circuit (40, 40A) clamps the maximum voltage occurring on the plurality of inductors (17, 27, 37, 18, 28, 38) to a predetermined value.
