<p>The invention relates to the field of civil engineering and specifically to residential apartment buildings or residential apartment portions of multi-functional complexes. An apartment building containing more than one single-level apartment with a balcony, the entire area of which balcony, or a portion thereof, has dimensions of at least 2.5 meters in length and at least 2.5 meters in width and constitutes a zone, directly above which the vertically-nearest balcony is two floors above the present apartment. The portions of the outer walls of the building which are situated at the boundaries of said zone of the balcony are made blind and non-transparent on the level of the next floor above the present apartment. The invention allows for isolating people, when on their private balconies, from direct visual and acoustic contact despite an insignificant distance from people in neighboring higher apartments, while maintaining the possibility of using balconies for private gardens having tall plants, without creating disturbances for neighbors in the nearest higher apartments.</p> |
