METHOD AND DEVICE FOR ESTABLISHING RRC CONNECTION

Disclosed are a method and device for establishing an RRC connection, which relate to the field of communications and are used for solving the problem of lower resource utilization rate of a physical layer in the process of establishing the RRC connection. The method provided in the present invention comprises: a base station determining that a user equipment (UE) needs to switch to an RRC idle state from an RRC connection state, and determining that the UE adopts a simplified RRC flow when a next RRC connection is established, wherein the simplified RRC flow indicates that the RRC connection is established through acquired RRC configuration information about the UE; and when the UE requests to establish the next RRC connection, establishing an RRC connection for the UE by using the simplified RRC flow. The present invention is applied to the field of communications and is used for establishing an RRC connection.
