[Class 83 (iv).] A knurling-tool for either inside or outside work comprises a fixed jaw 12 carrying a pair of knurling rolls 19, 20 and a movable jaw 11 operated by a screw 15 from a handle 16 and carrying a third knurling roll 21. The jaws are forked as shown in Fig. 4 and for outside work the rolls are mounted between the forks. For internal work the roll-carrying pins 24 are removed and the rolls mounted as shown in Fig. 4. The rolls 19, 20 may have serrations parallel to the roll axis while the lower roll 21 has inclined serrations.
