<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display driving device which provides high display quality while preventing the reduction of vertical resolution and allows the cost reduction, and to provide a display device and the like including the same. <P>SOLUTION: A control circuit 102 operates pixels arranged in one specific row out of two or more prescribed number of rows adjacent to each other in a display panel in a period corresponding to each field period of image data so that the pixels have display brightness gradation corresponding to a gray value of specific image data corresponding to the pixels. If the gray value of the specific image data is equal to or larger than a prescribed value, the control circuit operates pixels arranged in rows other than the specific row out of the prescribed number of rows so that the pixels have corrected brightness gradation which is based on the gray value of the specific image data and is lower than the display brightness gradation.
