An auxiliary switching element (Q2) is driven at a complementary timing with a main switching element (Q1), with an intervening dead time. A series circuit of the auxiliary switching element (Q2) and a capacitor (C6) is connected to one end of a primary coil (Np11) of a power transmission transformer (MT) to form an active clamp circuit. A series inductor (L1) is connected in series to the primary coil (Np11) of the power transmission transformer (MT). A first synchronous rectification element (Q4), a second synchronous rectification element (Q3), a first smoothing capacitor (C3), and a second smoothing capacitor (C2) are connected to the a secondary coil (Ns11) of the transformer (MT). This circuit configuration reduces the effect of conduction loss by the secondary-side rectification element and enables highly efficient power conversion. |
