Provided is an endoscope (1) provided with the following: an insertion unit (2) having an distal end part (6), a curved part (7), and a flexible part (8), in this order from the distal end side; a wire (5) having an exposed portion (5a) which is disposed along the longitudinal direction at the outside of a distal end portion of the flexible part (8), and the position of which in the radial direction is restrained with respect to the distal end portion of the flexible part (8) at a first position and a second position that is spaced apart from the first position toward a proximal end side; and a wire adjustment unit (12) for modifying the length dimension of the wire (5) between the first position and the second position. |
