The present invention relates to a wireless LAN router and a communication method thereof, and the wireless LAN router may include a control unit selecting a temporary relay terminal among terminals having a good communication state when there is a terminal to be supported out of a region having a good wireless LAN communication state, and controlling a temporary wireless LAN relay request; and a wireless LAN communication unit performing wireless LAN communication with a communication enabled terminal according to the control of the control unit, collecting information necessary for the selection of the temporary relay terminal from the communication enabled terminal, and providing the information to the control unit; and a short-range communication unit requesting the temporary relay terminal to perform the temporary wireless LAN relay of the terminal to be supported according to the control of the control unit.
