A method and system allowing products shown in video images to be purchased using a secondary device 8 such as a tablet or smart phone. The tablet or smart phone is able to access product information based on data contained in or associated with the video images. Product information and ID data is stored in a product database 2 accessed by the secondary device. The video images may be TV broadcast, film or video game images. The product information may be accessed via an application 9 contained on the secondary device 8. The system and method allow a television viewer or video game player to access information about objects shown or represented in the game or broadcast, and facilitates purchasing of the objects. |
