<p>A collapsible incubator 1 for an infant is disclosed to comprise a flexible housing 2 for containing the infant. The flexible housing is configurable between an expanded condition and a collapsed condition and includes a flexible door 3 within the flexible housing for access to the infant. A first end portion 5 is secured to a first end of the flexible housing and a second end portion 6 secured to an opposite second end of the flexible housing with at least one fastening means 7 configured to releasably secure the first end portion to the second end portion when in the collapsed condition. In use, a means is provided to support the flexible housing in the expanded condition. This may comprise an inflatable portion 9 within the housing or telescopic rods 23 extending between the first and second end portions. Additional modules 12, 16, removably attached to either end portion, may comprise heating, cooling or humidification means 28, 29, 30.</p> |
