<p>An expandable protective enclosure for a laptop computer comprises a substantially rigid base panel 2; a top panel 4; at least one side wall panel 6,8 extending between the base panel and the top panel. The base, top and side wall panels define an opening at a front of the enclosure. An expansion mechanism 26,28 is configured to move the top panel relative to the base panel between a first closed configuration (figure 4) in which a first distance between the top and base panels is such that a laptop computer can be inserted into the enclosure through the opening and a second open configuration (figure 1) in which a second distance between the top and base panels is such that an laptop computer can be inserted into the enclosure through the opening. The second distance is greater than the first distance. The enclosure enables a laptop computer to remain protected at all times, both in an open and closed configuration. In the open configuration the laptop will be shielded from sun glare by the enclosure panels.</p> |
