<p>A cutlery item comprises a first cutlery part 11 and a second cutlery part 21. A first handle part 10 is connected to the first cutlery part and a second handle part is connected to the second cutlery part. The first handle part has a bore 90 with an opening and the second cutlery part is arranged to be slidingly moveable along the bore between a retracted position and an extended position in which the second handle part extends from the opening to permit the user to control and direct the second cutlery part with the first handle part. Further, the second handle part is slidingly moveable beyond the opening so as to separate the second cutlery part and second handle from the first handle part so that is may be grasped and used independently of the first cutlery part. The bore may be shaped such that the second cutlery item does not rotate as it is moved. The first and second cutlery portions may be in the form of a blade, such as a knife, a fork, spoon or spork.</p> |
