PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a simple configuration and a size reduction even in the case where a compositional member is composed of a general-purpose component, easy-to- available component, or the like, to detect a wide range distance with high accuracy, and to immediately detect an absolute position. SOLUTION: Two Hall sensors 102a and 102b whose magnetism sensing directions are perpendicular to an arranged substrate 103 are used as a pair. They are supported so as to be movable parallel to a substrate and a straight line connecting the centers of the two Hall sensors. A predetermined number of magnetized magnets 101 having N and S poles at a predetermined interval is arranged so that output values from the two Hall sensors on the substrate have attenuation oscillatory wave or amplification oscillatory wave. In this state, positional detection is carried out using, as a predetermined correlation, output values from the two Hall sensors on the substrate, with respect to the distance by which the magnets are moved in the moving direction.
