<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive and compact indoor dehumidifier. <P>SOLUTION: A dehumidifying heater 3 includes a circulation air passage 6 for sucking air in an object space 1 for dehumidification and passing the air through a dehumidifying rotor 9 to return again to the object space 1 for dehumidification, and a regenerating air passage 7 for applying heat by a regeneration heater 10 to the dehumidifying rotor 9 to regenerate the dehumidifying ability. The dehumidifying heater is configured in such a manner that during a dehumidifying operation, air passing through the regenerating heater 10 is made to flow into a discharge air passage 4 not communicating with the inside of the object space 1 for dehumidification or to flow into a heat-exchange type closed air passage, and that during a heating operation, air passages are switched and the air after passing through the regenerating heater 10 is made to flow into a heating air passage 12 to return to the object space 1 for dehumidification.
