<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that a power supply device is difficult to miniaturize when voltages applied to a gate of a power device (main switch M) are both voltages consisting of a voltage higher than a positive voltage of a battery 12 and a negative voltage. <P>SOLUTION: A gate charging path for the main switch M comprises the battery 12, a terminal T3, a switching element SW1, a capacitor C, a switching element SW2, a backflow preventing diode D1, a terminal T1, and a charging resistor 14. A gate discharging path for the main switch M comprises a discharging resistor 16, a terminal T2, a backflow preventing diode D2, a switching element SW3, the capacitor C, a switching element SW4, and a terminal T4.
