<p>Provided is a map updating system which includes a map server (10) having map data comprising data partitioned into multiple unit areas, and includes a navigation device (30) connected to the map server (10) via a network, wherein map data in the navigation device (30) is updated with map data stored by the map server (10). This map updating system (1) is provided with a travel history database (34) which stores the travel history data of a vehicle, an area defining unit (40) which classifies unit areas according to the number of times, or frequency, of travel on road links included in the unit area and which identifies unit areas adjacent to classified areas, and a map updating unit (46) which updates the map data according to a configured priority level.</p> |
