PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a titanium oxide having an intergrowth structure and suitable for application to a high potential negative electrode material which can achieve longer service life and a higher capacity of a lithium secondary battery, a method for producing the same, and an electrochemical device using the same as a member.SOLUTION: The titanium oxide has a chemical composition represented by NaLiTiO(0.442<x≤1 and 0≤y<1), and the crystal structure of the titanium oxide has an intergrowth structure between calcium ferrite-type and ramsdellite-type. There is also provided the method for producing the same. The electrochemical device includes the compound as an electrode active material. |
