<p>A cooling apparatus includes a compressor including a compressor motor, and configured to compress a refrigerant, a condenser configured to condense the refrigerant, an expansion valve configured to decompress the refrigerant, an evaporator configured to evaporate the refrigerant, and a driving unit configured to drive the compressor, wherein the driving unit supplies an AC drive current to the compressor motor when the compressor operates at high speed, and the driving unit supplies a DC drive current to the compressor motor when the compressor operates at low speed. The cooling apparatus uses a square wave drive mode or a sine wave drive mode, and may not stop the compressor motor when switching one drive mode into the other drive mode.</p> |
