1. A method for determining the amount of vitamin B2 in a biological sample from a human, said method comprising:
(a) adding 13C,15N2-vitamin B2 to the sample; (b) subjecting the sample to high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC); (c) ionizing vitamin B2 and 13C,15N2-vitamin B2 under conditions suitable to produce one or more ions detectable by mass spectrometry; (d) determining the amount of said one or more ions by mass spectrometry; and (e) comparing the amount of said one or more ions of vitamin B2 and said one or more ions of 13C,15N2-vitamin B2 to determine the amount of vitamin B2 in the sample. |
