The present invention provides an apparatus for controlling automatic train operation, which comprises: a train speed detection part to detect the current speed of a train for each train operation section; a control part to receive the current speed detected by the train speed detection part, and containing a reference speed range corresponding to predetermined expert operation pattern data for each operation section; a determination part to determine whether the current speed detected by the train speed detection part exceeds the reference speed range; and a drive part to drive an automatic train operation system in accordance with a current target speed within the reference speed range through the control of the control part, if the current speed is determined to exceed the reference speed range by the determination part. In addition, the present invention provides a method for controlling automatic train operation, which comprises: a train speed detection step in which the train speed detection part detects the current speed of a train for each train operation section; a determination step in which the determination part determines whether the current speed detected by the train speed detection part exceeds the reference speed range corresponding to the predetermined expert operation pattern data for each operation section in the control part; and a driving step in which the drive part drives the automatic train operation system in accordance with the current target speed within the reference speed range through the control of the control part, if the current speed is determined to exceed the reference speed range by the determination part. |
