1. A method for use in wireless communications, the method comprising:
receiving a first portion of a first message from a base station via a first frequency; receiving a second portion of the first message from at least one relay station of a plurality of relay stations via a second frequency, wherein the second portion originated at the base station and wherein the first portion and the second portion of the first message include cooperation information that includes information related to at least one relay station of the plurality of relay stations to be used for transmission to the base station; splitting a second message into a first portion and a second portion; transmitting the first portion of the second message directly to the base station via a third frequency; and transmitting, based on the cooperation information, the second portion of the second message to the base station via at least one relay station of the plurality of relay stations via a fourth frequency, the at least one relay station selected based in part on the cooperation information.
