The present invention relates to a method for refining BMP4, wherein the method comprises the steps of: a) concentrating a solution containing BMP4 using a fraction membrane filter; b) applying ion exchange chromatography to the solution obtained from the step a); c) applying affinity chromatography to the solution obtained from the step b); and d) applying hydrophobic interactive chromatography to the solution obtained from the step c).
