发明名称 Color calibration system for a video display
摘要 Large digital displays for entertainment, architectural and advertizing displays have interconnected display panels with pluralities of light emitting elements. To solve calibration problems, each of the display panels stores measured luminance and chromaticity data for each of the light emitting elements of the panel. The luminance data is independent of the chromaticity data. A central controller can then perform calibration procedures so that the light emitting elements are matched across the entire display.

主权项 1. An apparatus for calibrating a display comprising a plurality of light emitting elements comprising: a plurality of rows of receptors comprises: in a first row, a first lens, in a second row, adjacent to the first row, a second lens, in a third row, adjacent to the second row, a third lens, and in a fourth row, adjacent to the third row, a fourth lens, wherein the first, the second, the third, and the fourth lenses respectively correspond to first, second, third, and fourth light emitting elements in a first row of the light emitting elements; a first fiber optic comprises a first optical input and a first optical output, wherein the first optical input is optically coupled to the first, the second, the third, and the fourth lenses; a first spectrometer optically coupled to the first optical output of the first fiber optic splice; and a video processor control unit electronically coupled to the first spectrometer, wherein the video processor control unit has an input that receives light information from the first spectrometer for light generated by the first, the second, the third, and the fourth light emitting elements.
